Bridge House
About This Spot
Nestled just off the bustling motorway on Johnstown Road, Bridge House strikes a balance between the simplicity of a neighborhood pub and the welcoming ease of a well-loved local restaurant. As you walk through its doors in Posseckstown, there’s a comforting hum in the air—a gentle buzz of conversation, the clink of glasses, and an inviting warmth that hints at familiar moments shared around the table.
The atmosphere carries a relaxed, unhurried pace where both locals and travelers pause to unwind. Inside, the modern and clean interior feels inclusive and approachable, offering pockets of privacy alongside open spaces. Flickers of muted lighting create a sense of intimacy, although the lively chatter and occasional hum of background music keep the space feeling alive without overwhelming.
Dining here is less about formalities and more about savoring the kinds of meals that bring people together—the kind where a well-cooked roast or a hearty burger meets the ease of good company. Whether settling in with a prime cut of beef paired with a perfectly crisp Yorkshire pudding or sharing a plate of triple delight appetizers, the food gently anchors the visit in comfort and satisfaction. The menu offers dishes that cater to diverse tastes, mingling classic pub fare with touches of homestyle heartiness. It’s a place where kids’ favorites sit alongside deeper, richly flavored options like a slow-cooked beouf bourguignon or a thoughtfully prepared chicken curry.
Service here matches the space: attentive without being intrusive, friendly yet professional. There is a sense that the staff know this is a place where people come not only to eat but to pause and recharge. Small, thoughtful details—a little chocolate offered at the end of a meal, quick and easy access for those just stopping in—add to the quietly caring vibe that sets Bridge House apart.
Though the exterior bears the marks of time and could whisper stories of days past, inside feels refreshed and ready for new memories. It’s a spot where you might find yourself settled in front of a game on the TV, sharing a pint of Guinness Draught, or simply enjoying the steady rhythm of a local gathering place that feels comfortably familiar yet open to surprises.

Lovely comfy place in Enfield. Service was excellent and both waiters that served us were attentive. The food was overall very tasty, however the chicken in the burger was cold. Easy access and great location. I liked the little chocolate at the end of the meal. I will recommend it for anyone visiting Enfield.

Nice pub don't know about the food as I only had a few drinks there but it was very busy with people dining

Gorgeous food, lighting questionable could barely read the menu or could of been the way it was printed. Music a tad bit too loud/intrusive, high pitched sound would go off every so often that ain't austic friendly.

First visit to the bridge house bar . Easy to stop at as close to motorway. Outside I'd say needs an update but inside was very clean and modern. There is Tvs in areas so you can eat dinner while watching a game if inclined. Service was very professional and quick. Food was top quality and we will definitely be back .
